Senior Workover Engineer – Qatar

Required to visit offshore operations during workover execution and rig mob / demob.
Addresses complex discipline specific related problems and issues.
Has a degree of freedom in the execution of his function, with events and activities driving performance.
Participates in first line response for well emergencies. If required, on 24 hour call-out standby rotation to respond and to mobilize equipment and personnel to provide support to Field Operations. Minimum 7 years of experience in Wellwork design and operations in the oil and/or gas industry, including 5 years of Offshore experience in workover design and execution
Sound knowledge of Well Control techniques and equipment
Knowledge and understanding of the following Well Engineering disciplines: Wellhead, Tree & Surface Equipment, Subsurface Equipment, Tubular Design, Perforating, and Completion / Workover Design, Cased-hole and Production Logging, Fishing, and Remedial Cementing
Understanding of Reservoir Geology, Production Modelling and Nodal Analysis Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Post graduate degree in Petroleum Engineering is desirable Key Job Accountabilities Contribute to workover designs and planning. Develop and implement workover programs for all wells. Participates in risk assessments with related departments and ensure safety precautions and proper mitigations are captured and reviewed by appropriate levels Drive continuous improvement by capturing all related learnings and quickly enhancing procedures / programs as workover operations progress. Analyze daily Workover activities (Drilling, Completions, and Workovers) and evaluate forward plans with Workover Lead Engineer and Drilling Coordination team Review workover well reports for accuracy, proper documentation, completeness, and timely caption in QG data management systems Participate in the creation of contracts by defining scope of services or material specifications. Participate in the evaluation of tenders Coordinate environmental aspects of workover operations. Maintains documentation of all environmental records thereof and coordinate with Environmental Section for assessment and reporting to governmental offices Wellsite visits required (50% in the office and 50% at wellsite during workover execution) Participate in the inspection and mobilization of material, equipment, and tools to be used in Workover, including attendance to Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Pre-job quality inspection of service equipment, etc.
